Becoming the Every Day Church

Over the past few decades, the Church has become more and more about Sunday and less and less about Monday – Saturday. As a result, the Church has become fixated on developing the Sunday experience and has slowly morphed into a form of “Theater Church.” The focus has gone from the seats to the stage, as the Church has become about lights, fog machines, screens, and performance. Instead of becoming passionate followers of Jesus, people have become passive observers. They are attending less often on Sunday’s, most are not connecting in small groups, very few are inviting their friends and even fewer are serving. The result is the Church is having very little impact on the world around them.

It's time to move from the Sunday Church to the Every Day Church. God never intended for the ministry and work of the church to be in the hands of a few trained “professionals.” The 8 Core Practices will engage and equip people for the work of the ministry and help move them from passive observers to passionate followers.
